ONDO State governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko,  has declared  that he has the divine confidence that he is already marching to victory ahead of the October 20  gubernatorial election in the state.

 Dr Mimiko is the Labour Party standard- bearer in the election where he will be seeking a second term in office.

Making an official visit to his campaign secretariat for the first time, 13 days after his adoption  by the Labour Party as its candidate for the October 20 gubernatorial election,  Dr Mimiko  said  he was fully ready for the campaign ahead of the election, even as the  campaign organisation said full-fledged electioneering campaign for the governor’s second term will commence soon.

The organisation’s director-general, who is also the Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Mr Akin Adaramola,  mentioned this while speaking during the governor’s visit to the campaign headquarters at Ijapo in Akure, the state capital.

He said: “Since this organisation’s inauguration, we have embarked on a series of activities to ensure smooth campaign and worthwhile election. You don’t just go out and start running all over the place. You need to plan and very soon, we hit the ground running.”

 Responding, Mimiko told the organisation that he was fully ready for the campaign with divine confidence that he is already marching to victory.

Governor Mimiko, We Ondo State Indigene in abroad cherish your tenure in the office and we also appreciate all your endeavor to make Ondo State one of the beautiful State in the Country.....we support you and your second term is sure but the point is that you shouldn't deviate from your leadership act and also don't relax because where you are going is still far so continue building your tomorrow.May God be with u,guide and guard you and see you through the race.

Mimiko's divine march to defeat

So this Ebiraman knows that second term is sweet. The same second term that he made impossible for those he served in the past. God is not mocked, whatever a man soweth so shall he reap. Mimiko will be defeated flat either by ACN or PDP
