Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr Akinwumi Adesina, has said that the plans to maximise rice production and cassava flour utilisation in the country are working.

A corps member, Goodness Adebo, has trained cocoa farmers on various planting procedures  to boost cocoa production via latest farming practices.

Provost of the Federal College of Agriculture (FCA), Akure, Dr (Mrs) Mary Ogunkoya, has said that tertiary institutions in Nigeria, especially those offering agriculture-related disciplines, should produce students with the right orientation and training to become agribusiness men and women.

Managing Director of Cocoa Products Ltd, a company processing cocoa in Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, Mr Akin Olusuyi, has advocated that the Federal Government should establish a cocoa board to regulate activities of stakeholders in the production, marketing and local utilisation of the cash crop.
